4th RiSE International Summer School (RISS) (http://riss2011.rise.com.br/)

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

RISS 2011 is an international summer school created by the Reuse in Software Engineering (RiSE) Labs to discuss the state-of-the-art and practice related to software reuse. Software reuse is an important factor for companies interested in improving their productivity, time-to-market, quality and reducing costs.

Software reuse can be performed using different methods, techniques, processes and tools. Nevertheless, one of the main ways to improve it drastically is using Software Product Lines (SPL).

RISS is a summer school which will discuss important issues related to the next generation of Product Lines, including Service-Oriented Product Lines, Dynamic Software Product Lines, Agile Product Lines, and Multiple Product Lines.

Additionally, it is important to highlight that lecturers of the RISS will be the main researchers/practitioners in the field. Thus, it is the perfect environment to professors, students, researchers, and
software professionals try, in an objective way, to match academic results with industry expectations and demands.

Besides all technological characteristics that surround the school and its realization in Salvador, a city on the northeast coast of Brazil and the capital of the Northeastern Brazilian state of Bahia. Salvador is also known as Brazil's capital of happiness due to its easygoing population and countless popular outdoor parties, including its street carnival.

It will be a pleasure to receive you for RISS 2011.
